About Sheila

November 6th, 2008 by admin in About Sheila

I live in Uddingston, in Scotland, on the outskirts of Glasgow and just five minutes by car from the old Glasgow Zoo, and I am very happy to welcome old and new visitors.

One of the main things to accomplish doing Bowen is to restore balance to the body. If the pelvis is tilted one way or the other it will throw off the rest of the body. It will make the leg length uneven placing pressure on the ankles, knees and hips. It will also place the lumbar spine and surrounding muscles in tension and make the muscles of the neck and shoulders tight in the body’s effort to balance itself.

I believe in Bowen as it is taught as I have seen so many amazing results.   The Bowen standards are kept high by an ongoing structured training programme and learning new moves and refining old ones is essential.
